King Whetstones

The Matsunaga Stone Company in Osaka Japan makes the King range of Whetstones, they are the oldest and best-known maker of Japanese Waterstones outside of Japan. The King Whetstones (Waterstones) are unlike other synthetic stones as they consist of aluminium oxide, carbide, and nitride particles fused together and mixed with a clay-like bonder that is then baked at high temperatures to form the stone. The resultant stones are relatively soft to use, and the bonding clay allows the abrasive particles to release easily for consistent sharpening.

If you are looking for a good range of Japanese Whetstones, you do not have to look any further than the King range of stones. They are also reasonably priced across the range so they will not break your budget. If you would like more information, please see –
